On a very pleasant and sunny day, members of the new Hope Church of Toowoomba travelled to Toowoomba Clay Target Club's grounds at Charlton for a morning of great entertainment.
It was the church's "Try Clay Target Day" and everyone was enthusiastic and eager to have a go. More than 50 members gathered around instructor Viv Nolan as he gave the pre-competition safety briefing. That done, the group formed into teams of five and the event began.
Competition was fierce with a rowdy cheer going up each time a member broke a target.
Team number 2 the "Dream Team" won the day with a very creditable 12 targets our of the 25 broken. Runners up were the "Duds" with 11 targets broken.
Competitor of the day was Cameron Daff scoring 4 from 5 and winning in a shoot-off from Dave Davies who failed to break a target in the shoot-off. Disappointing for dave who broke 4 from 5 to get into it.
