Norfolk Island

A group of Queenslanders attended the Norfolk Island Gun Club 30th year of International Competition during the week of 6th to the 13th of February 2010.
Excellent weather and good shooting was experienced by the 127 competitors that attended.
Our own club members consisting of Margaret & Allan Denton, Graham Smith & Ron Black, who were all successful in bringing home trophies.
Allan won first place in B grade in the 50 target skeet championship and Margaret won the Ladies High Gun.
Ron picked up first in C grade in both the 25 target points and the 50 target ball trap.
Graham won first in B grade in the 50 target double barrel championship and the Veterans High Gun .
The teams event was won by a Queensland team consisting of Richard Morrison, Daryl Stevens, Bill Allan and Geoff Moore. Third place in the teams event also went to a Queensland team made up of Paul Hill, Bruce Powell, Zarah Powell & Viv Moore.
Some of our members had such a good time, they have already booked their places for next years competition.
